#JONDIEtravels: Gulf Shores, Alabama
The first week of October, we packed our bags and headed to Gulf Shores, Alabama for a JONDIEgirls beach week full of team bonding, photo shoots and beach fun. On Monday morning we packed the car to the brim, drove eight hours and headed down to the Gulf coast. We were greeted by perfect weather, dinner on the bay and a night full of storytelling and laughs.
On Tuesday it was a bit cloudy. We ate breakfast at Hazel’s and since the sun wasn’t shining yet, we headed to the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo. A sloth, lemur and kangaroo encounter? Sign us up! We got to pet kangaroos and watch them hop around while waiting for their lunch.
The lemurs loved Rebecca’s JONDIE fringe purse and tried to have it as their afternoon snack. They loved hopping from one person to another and being held like babies.
Sid and Sylvia the sloths were cute, but a little crazy since they were upside down. They loved to photobomb all of our selfies.
On Wednesday we spent the whole day at the beach dreaming up new ideas to improve the store and planning our full day of photo shoots for Thursday. Historic Fort Morgan stands where the Mobile Bay meets the Gulf of Mexico. It made a beautiful location for our Fall lookbook photo shoot.
We styled the photoshoot with suede dresses, wool hats and a lot of new jewelry. Some of our favorite looks were the black floral skirt with the suede front tank, as well as the kimonos and cardigans we wore during the photoshoot at sunset on the beach.
Overall we had the best trip and it was such a treat to be able to go to the beach together as a group. Check out our full fall lookbook for more images.
