Pilgrimage Festival

The JONDIEgirls had been counting down the days for months until the Pilgrimage Festival was here. The weekend of September 26 and 27 was a big one for Franklin, Tennessee. With headliners like Willie Nelson, Steven Tyler, Cage the Elphant and Weezer, we knew the two day music festival would be a good one. JONDIE had a pop-up store both days in the festival’s bazaar, which was a marketplace in between the two main stages.

We set our booth up all day on Friday. From stringing the lights and hanging our banners to setting out the final pieces of jewelry and racks of clothing, we couldn’t wait until Saturday when the festival would be up and running. Saturday the doors to the festival opened at 10 am and everyone was talking about their favorite bands that were playing that afternoon; Cage the Elephant, Sheryl Crow and Weezer are just a few. At our popup store we brought some of our favorite styles of clothing, like our asymmetrical leather jacket, suede front tank tops and graphic tees. One of our newest obsessions here at JONDIE are our blanket scarves. They’re great for you to wear as a scarf, bundle up with once the sun sets, or lay in the grass to listen to the music.

We met a lot of great people from near and far and loved getting to talk to everyone about two of our loves: fashion and music. Sunday brought a bit of a bigger crowd and the weather was perfect. During our time to go and explore and listen to our favorite bands, we could spot lots of JONDIE hats and sunglasses being worn all around the festival. Two of our favorite performers of the day were Steven Tyler and Willie Nelson. The sun was setting and Willie was playing, and the festival came to an end. Major thanks to the Pilgrimage Festival for hosting our pop up store and to all of our JONDIE shoppers! We had a great first pop-up shop and hope for many, many more.
